Goran Dragic, born on May 6, 1986, is a professional basketball player from Slovenia.

Dragic began his basketball journey in Slovenia, where he played for the youth teams of various clubs.
His talent quickly caught the attention of scouts, leading him to sign his first professional contract with KD Slovan in 2003. After spending two seasons with the club, he moved to Union Olimpija in 2005.
During his time at Union Olimpija, Dragic showcased his potential and attracted interest from NBA scouts.
In 2008, he declared for the NBA draft and was selected as the 45th overall pick by the San Antonio Spurs. However, he was immediately traded to the Phoenix Suns.
